    Agreed, a nice big grade A silvertip. Also, something else I just thought of. The shape of the bottom of the handle means you probably won't be able to stand the brush up on it's own so you might need to fashion some sort of stand for it.

    I like the look of the brush, if you replace the knot and want to maintain the look as is. I would look into a black badger knot. Wish I knew of a source for horse hair, the place I usually purchased them from doesn't seem to carry them anymore.
