I have to say though, I ordered the 22mm boar hair knot from them just to see what it would feel like...price was good. I've been thoroughly impressed by it. I don't have another boar hair knot to compare it to, but I can't wait to use it...it beckons me every day now...needy little hog! I just bought a couple of the high mountain whites because of the post.

The HMWs are really differant knots, the loft setting will be very important with them,am thinking around 50ish mm, enjoy.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

I've probably had a dozen or more TGN knots pass through my den and still have 8 or so that are permanent residents. The best value is their Finest which performs great, has a minimum of scritch and looks good to boot. My favorite for performance and face feel is the grade A. I have two super silvertips which don't quite please me as much but they are in custom handles that do so I leave them there.

Like all natural products, there is some variability from batch to batch.

The people at TGN also provide great service.

This is TGNs High Mtn White (AKA the Manchurian) from what I have been told the pelts come from the high snow country.
The hair is really differant, very luxurious.

I have knots from all the categories of TGN
His Black Badgers is excellent and the Silvertips are very good.
