Thanked: 14Actually this brush is not scritchy. The the brush is very firm in the middle and the tips are velvety soft. Even though the tips give a soft feel to your face, the body of the knot lets you really dig your toes in and get a good soap load. Nice feel to the brush and will make a good everyday latherer.

Thanked: 2027Classic simpson,The main reason it has nice backbone is because they now use two band knots (chinese) set at a lower loft.
Back in the day they used hand tied so called super badger in the tulips,They were real floppy mops.IMO, nice brush

I love my Simpson Persian Jar, It's probably my favorite behind my Thater's. It's an all around great brush. Great back bone.
We have assumed control !
