    Gentlemen:
I keep my brush in the Moss scuttle to keep it and the lather warm. A cold brush with cold suds isn't my ideal combination for a delicious shave. If by chance, when lathering, the brush handle becomes soapy, I rinse the handle under the faucet with a low stream of water and that does it.

Whether I'm using the scuttle or not I keep the brush bristles down in the scuttle or a soap dish. However sometimes, especially with the Chubby soap will get on the handle and in that case like Obie I just rinse off the handle.

Use less water. It is called shaving cream, not foam. Too much water produces uberfoam, rather than uberlather, which is always too thick to run even after several minutes when using a quality cream.

I work on face lather frequently and the lather is tight enough so i don't need the up-side down position
In the end of the 3rd pass i squeeze the knot and everything is in there gets into my fingers
then i apply it in my face and the brush is ready for cleaning after i finish with the DE's duty.

I use a scuttle and leave the brush in the lather - and sure every now and then I'll get a run of lather here and ther. Hey, if it works for you its a great idea.

I am still wondering how it is just on the tips of the brush in the picture.

I guess I am a slob at wet shaving, if lather has not inundated the brush... well I don't feel like I did my part
