Interesting contrast between the birds eye maple and lignum vitae. I really like the shape of the lignum part... really nice lines and proportion! I made my second brush out of lignum because I love the wood; however, mine doesn't look as good as yours but feels awesome sanded to 2000 grit and polished. Certainly well done for your first brush!

Thanked: 2284Not my first brush, my first time using Lignum Vitae.
This ones sanded to 600 grit. Its amazing wood, it really doesn't need any finish on it. You can get a super high polish on it by just touching a cotton clothe on it while its spinning on the lathe. Water will never touch raw Lignum because of the oil content.Burls, Girls, and all things that Swirl....
