Thread: Lignum/Birds eye 24mm Gr.A

Interesting contrast between the birds eye maple and lignum vitae. I really like the shape of the lignum part... really nice lines and proportion! I made my second brush out of lignum because I love the wood; however, mine doesn't look as good as yours but feels awesome sanded to 2000 grit and polished. Certainly well done for your first brush!

Not my first brush, my first time using Lignum Vitae.
This ones sanded to 600 grit. Its amazing wood, it really doesn't need any finish on it. You can get a super high polish on it by just touching a cotton clothe on it while its spinning on the lathe. Water will never touch raw Lignum because of the oil content.

Thats a great looking brush! The contrasting woods are really cool and the shape looks both pleasing to the eye and hand. Nicely done.
