Most vintage, collectible, restorable brushes have a model number - regardless of maker (Rubberset, Ever-Read, Erskine, Mohawk, etc.) It would make sense that if a person knew the model number of a particular makers brush, they would be able to consult a library to find the diameter/circumference of the knot required for the stock/un-altered handle.

I have been unable to find anything like this. Does it exist? If so, can someone point me in the right direction?

It would make ordering brushes a whole lot easier - understanding that the knots are not EXACT and may be off by a tiny amount.
