TGN is awesome!!They have some terrific knots.

Stay away from the mixed Badger and the cheaper 24mm boar bristle knots. IME the have be of lesser quality than the others.

There's a lot of talk about the Finest 2 band, and the grade A silvertips on here. Lots of guys like those 2. Some good cheaper knots they have are the black badgers and the pure knots.

Check out some of these threads for more info.

I bought a wood lathe for a price I could not pass up a while back and have been considering learning turning. I have the wood, can forge the chisels I need but was not sure where to get the badger.

    Thanks

They come in a little aluminum handle. If you remove this, and then sand down the base of the knot, you can make the hole for the knot smaller and shallower. Makes the brush not as bulky in the end. I've had nothing but positive comments about how nice these brush heads work. The girls say they feel great, they hold makeup very well, and can be cleaned with soap and water.
