First brush
I'm getting married in July, and decided that instead of cliche groomsmen gifts like flasks, I am going to make a shaving brush for each of them. Tonight I started working on the first one. It is made of eastern red cedar.
It hasn't been sanded yet, and I'm thinking it may need to be shortened a bit.
I'm open to any thoughts or suggestions.
I'll add the other three brushes as I make them.
Thanks!

Thanked: 1184Great start. Your going to have to make matching stands ?
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Nice job!
I am thinking that I would like a longer handle on my brush.
Maybe they would also?

I was on a roll today at the lathe!! Not only did I finish the first brush handle, I made 2 more! Just one left to do!
First brush handle: Red Cedar, finished with EEE cream and beeswax
Second handle: Yellowheart, finished with linseed oil and beeswax
Third handle: Black and White Ebony, finished with linseed oil and beeswax
All three brushes together for size comparison

Very nice work! I am partial to the black and white ebony. Your groomsmen will love them.
