    Default First brush

I'm getting married in July, and decided that instead of cliche groomsmen gifts like flasks, I am going to make a shaving brush for each of them. Tonight I started working on the first one. It is made of eastern red cedar. Name: 20140308_215529.jpg

It hasn't been sanded yet, and I'm thinking it may need to be shortened a bit.
I'm open to any thoughts or suggestions.

I'll add the other three brushes as I make them.

    Thanks!

Great start. Your going to have to make matching stands ?

Matching stands is a great idea!

I was planning on making each brush from a different wood, so if I do stands I'll make each set of matching wood.

Check out Wood Craft - I bought some stands from them and was quite pleased with them - you can turn a matching center post, although now that I think about It, they hold a brush and a DE
probably would hold a Mach3 or fusion as well

    Nice job!
I am thinking that I would like a longer handle on my brush.
    Maybe they would also?

Very nice work! I am partial to the black and white ebony. Your groomsmen will love them.
