Congrats, Richard! The knot is set perfectly, IMO. You should really enjoy it!

The reason I have become so enamored of this brush is very simple. It was the result of a seemingly impossible to correct accident. It's one thing to consciously combine woods and have a gorgeous result. I'm all for the unplanned solution and this brush fulfills that concept. I know my first responses to the solution were close to that of a teenage girl responding to a teen idol looking at them and that I gushed a little, but at my age I don't give a damn if I drop the so called macho facade and show my true emotions. Beauty needs be admired and coveted at all times if we a re to survive as a species. Thank you, Andrew, for seeking a solution and not discarding the accident.

I'm not gonna lie. At first I chuckled aloud when I saw the solution being attached to the problem piece. After following your posts and seeing the final product, I'm impressed! It came together as if it had been planned that way from the get-go. Great choice on the finish and the 2-band!

Wowee I'm glad this thread got resurrected! There are alot of brushes out there that I just aren't to my taste. I find the shape a brush to often be clunky and ugly, but this thing is absolutely beautiful. I had a mishap of my own on a set of scales for a new razor as I was pinning it up, but my solution will not turn out nearly as spectacular as this.

    Impeccable piece of art!!

I'm also very excited to see this new project!

Wow! Came out great! I think that piece you spliced in added contrast and made much more pleasing to the eye, in my opinion
