Thanked: 48My DIY shaving brush
It's my first post here so Hi Gents!
Below I present my first finished shaving brush
Description:
Knot - 24mm diameter Black badger (pure grade)
Handle - ash wood
Finish - wood stain and CA coated
Dimension - 135mm of total high. 60mm - knot and 75mm handle
This type of handle shape is really ergonomic. I prefer it.
Dimensios are fitted to bowl shown on last photos. Target was keep my fingers dry during lather buiding process.

Love the brush. Where did the bowl come from?

Thanked: 48Not completely combo
With one of my straight razors that's the trio.
The bowl comes from one of small Polish pottery. It's prototype and first (in Polish I suppose) one with this type of inner shape.
Really it little bit darker. Photos below are closer of true.

Thanked: 2284Looks great!! I love the shape of it, and I Love the cherry wood.
If you really want that CA finish to shine, sand it up 2500 with water and then use a plastic polish ( Car headlight polish) as the final buff on high RPMs. It'll turn it into glass!!Burls, Girls, and all things that Swirl....

Very nice brush & bowl. For a first timer you did a fantastic job on the brush. I can't say enough about it & the bowl looks like it will make a lather rather quickly. Great job indeed!!!
