Couldn't help but to post a mock up. The finish needs to be decided and added. I was happy I could save the cue logo too. I just have a brush up behind it so I could see what it would look like.

Met Tony at Penchetta Pen and Knife (Also known as The Golden Nib) I picked up a 20mm silver tip and a 22mm silver tip pure. Figured finish this one with the 20mm and make the next one with the 22mm. Looking forward to retiring my VDH boar brush

Yeah they are in Scottsdale. I asked if they carried their knots in the store. They don't, but said they would bring them in to pick up if I wanted. Great to deal with

Yeah Vanessa emailed me, asked what I was looking for and Tony had them waiting. They have a collection of brushes, razors, pens and knives. I swear I was having a hard time not spending ALOT of money in there!

Two things I've learned from this little brush project...
    One, can't please everyone! Lol
Two, when a cue is sold with a description of ebony wood, really look at. The black on this cue was a plastic. Not phenolic, but a hard rubber compound.

I compared it to two legitimate ebony wood butt custom cues I have and couldn't believe it. Ebony under strong light still shows a slight grain.

At first I was a little remorseful cutting this cue up. After I realized it wasn't what it was sold as, that feeling went away.
