Keep forgetting to post these....
Left is 2" tall and the rest are 2.5" tall with 22mm knots set for 50 mm loft. Chubby hive, and Crown Royale

I totally agree with RollinCoal69. The way you mate the acrylic and wood is incredible!

Thanked: 375Just wanted to clarify I'm not making these blanks. They're made by Beyond wood products.
So ... I didn't do the cool part, That credit goes to BWP for mating up a Burl with resin.
I just refine the blanks into a shape on my 45' Craftsman lathe, make them shiny and put a furry thing in the topCHRIS

Not to be a wet blanket, but why mate the two?
The burls look great and that dark green acrylic is stunningly gorgeous. I find that, the more I look at them, combining the two draws the attention to away from a single attractive visual and forces one to "split" their focus. For me it is a distraction that takes away from the overall beauty, which is still quite attractive.
I see the artistry, but . . .
