    That looks great for the 1st rendition.

    A multicoloured handle would, I'm sure, look stunning.

    Very nice 'grain' on the finished handle Andrew.
    Makes me wonder about different coloured cloth layers in the mix, sort of like those acrylic pen blanks with the colours ribboned through em. Wonder how that'd look turned.
    Nice project and great results.

    A thought crossed my mind, what about water ingress? Are you going to put a light coat of varnish on or is the epoxy holding the micarta strong enough to prevent it?

    The entire piece is impregnated with epoxy, water is not going to hurt it. This is one of the heaviest handles I've ever made.
