Thanked: 4207Glad you got set up.
2parts epoxy will work quite well. Marine grade, slow cure is stronger finished bond, as others have mentioned.
Want to see wip pictures if possible.
Neat experiment.

Could be a chance to have a look at things like the old Rubberset 400 handle shape.
This is an interesting thread and I would really like to see pictures of the finished brush.Fact: Opinions are not the same as facts... Well, that's my opinion anyway

Thanked: 2284Hey Chris, really looking forward to seeing what you can do. I've seen some pretty amazing things printed out on those printers.
Make sure you get the hole diameter right or things might be wonky when you go to glue it in. For that knot I gave you, I'd shoot for a 7/8 size hole.
Like I said today too, try and shoot for a 46/48mm loft if you can.Burls, Girls, and all things that Swirl....

Thanked: 315Looking forward to seeing the finished product. If I had a 3D printer or CNC machine (and knew how to use them) I would be making all sorts of stuff in bulk.

nice work you have done there!!! i'm sorry to ask but do you happen to have the cad file for this one? i would like to print one in bronze filament, but have been looking for this cad precisely.. bit short on time to draw one myself... which was what i was about to start doing after my next restoration project..
bronze would look pretty much like this cannon (i printed this a while ago) and would have a very decent weight for the handle
there was a cad file supposed to be on Jim's OSSB site, but it seems to be no longer availale
Jim is normally very responsive, i wrote last week so i guess i'm just biting my nails waiting for him to respond, but if you happened t have one i would really appreciate an email with it
thanks man!Last edited by gabrielcr78; 12-15-2017 at 09:34 PM.

Read the printer description. I think you'll understand
