Definitely, classy. Some dark acrylics may even look good, as well

Yeah, I was wondering how some kirinite collars would look on them.

Finished the ironwood brush today as well. Brass, while a pain to work, adds a lil something classy to the look for sure. Works really well with the crazy undertones in the timber.

Opted not to apply lacquer to the brass as it could peel.
Some polish now and then, this’ll last forever.
Really pleased with how these are turning out repeatedly.
    Cheers gents.
Ya leave the brass alone, my Walleyeman brass brushes hold up well, I just use Somme Brasso once a year. Just like new, same with any Pixelfixed brush with metal layers

I can't believe how well these have all turned out. Any time I've used ironwood I've just left it unfinished since the density and oiliness of it makes it plenty durable, but man does the lacquer finish make the would pop -- just beautiful!

Your results are pretty stunning. I do like the brass a lot. My waleyeman brush with brass looks great with a little patina.

Just came across this thread today. All I can say is WOW...all of the brushes are amazing! I love the contrasting woods/metals, the grain patterns, the finishes. Just outstanding - really well done.
