    Default Ultem trio

Recently made two Ultem handles for my favorite knot/knots BOAR! Today I complimented the brushes with a "show me"stand for my straights.. Here they are, that's a 7/8 Greis & Co Solingen full hollow sitting on the "show me" before I flame polished it.

I love the amber color of the Ultem.
I don't ever recall seeing brush handles made from it.
Those are beautifully made pieces and great designs.

Taking the place by storm, Sanch! Such nice things!
That Gries is most certainly pre-war extinct.

The Greis was a BD gift to myself and a super lucky score! Absolutely 0 hone ware, no rust what so ever and only the factory edge! I was so happy to have gotten it! Thanks for the kind words!

Very nice. I too have not herd about this material. And i like the idea on the razor stand. I had tried a couple things along the same idea, but was never happy with them.

I thought for a second you were going to flame polish the razor...

Well done! I've been considering ultem for some time now, it's good to see someone has actually used it.

I always thought it would be cost prohibitive, as well as obviously unnecessary due to the intended purpose of the material, but I guess the same could be said about brushes made of bronze, copper, titanium, etc, yet there is definitely a market for these items.. Interesting times for wet shaving indeed.

Cost prohibited indeed but I was lucky enough to have a great friend who gave me the cutoffs of his project! Fun material to work with! Funny smelling as the lathe cuts it lol!
