Thanked: 13249Elk v Elk SilkSmoke
My newest adventure
Elk Antler Handle that I was trying to decide on what to use for a base (antler MUST be sealed)
Been sitting on the bench for a month or so
I was out there yesterday working on a razor and I saw an Elk leg bone that I had processed years ago
I cleaned off the shop gunk and the idea was hatched
After the Epoxy dried I cut and fit the bone to the Antler
Sanding and polishing brought out an almost Ivory like finish
My friend Dan had sent me a few Synthetic knots to mess with, and I saved the best for this handle
24mm SilkSmoke knot
Didn't notice until after, the Bone Base has a deep 3D effect that looks like Clouds in the light
I tried to catch the effect..."No amount of money spent on a Stone can ever replace the value of the time it takes learning to use it properly"
Very Respectfully - Glen
