    No I didn't feel that it needed it. The burl cork and rubberized rings have a bit of heft when compared to natural cork. Plus I filled the hole from the mandrel with epoxy before I glued in the knot.

    It looks good. I have no idea how strong the cork will be. It’s all a learning process I guess. With the epoxy inside it in theory will make for no movement of the knot and I suppose it shouldn’t need much strength. I’m standing by to hear your review.

    The knot is mounted with silicone. I only filled he hole from the mandrel with Epoxy The I had leftover from the CF brush. Tomorrow it will get it first use. so we will all learn together.
