Thread: Green Paint on Lincoln Memorial

It is truly a shame that people think it is funny to deface a national monument. It isn't right to purposely destroy anyone's property but come on the Lincoln Memorial. Hopefully the police find these punks and they get the worst penalty possible.

I read about that. Truly sad.. At least they have surveillance footage to review in order to find out who it was. Though i'm pretty sure the Capitol Police are all around the area at night... they just can't be everywhere at once..

The same kind of creeps that spray paint swastikas on synagogues. Very little gray matter between the ears.

I'm not so sure it was hippies. It may be vandalism with other political motives.

After all, August of this year is the 50th Anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr's. famous "I Have a Dream Speech" from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.

Of course, we won't really know until the perpetrator(s) is/are apprehended.

If we are making assumptions, I will assume it was a strange alien from the gorbex sector of nihlon II who took a shit on it.

I thought a wayward paintball? If someone went right up to it and splashed it, they would surely be on camera.

I know not what their motives were and couldn't care less. If they ever do get them I hope they prosecute them to whatever the fullest extent of the law is.

Police have arrested a woman in connection with green paint being splattered on the National Cathedral. I'm sure her political leanings won't be mentioned by the press, unless she's a Tea Party member.
