So since there is an unspoken rule against slagging off the Missus and since men have voluntarily placed women in rarified air, I cannot vent to full desire . But why is it when you travel all the extraneous brick a brack she feels compelled to pack is ok and off limits to revision yet what you packed and I might add packed long before her last minute actions commenced is open to loud criticism and ridicule ?

I have sympathy for your situation but honestly I cannot say I have that problem. For that I am eternally grateful to wife #2.

Family vacation and I love doing things with the boys but the wife has two hobbies shopping and being noisy , sorry three I forgot her penchant for sleep . So next time you see a guy looking harried and a bit on edge give him a nod and a understanding smile cause it might just be me !

I feel ya brother! I know exactly what you're talking about! I can clear off for a month with just a day pack. My wife can't last a weekend with a full to bursting suitcase.

Well you should be following the 3/8 rule. You shouldn't drink anything until after the first three minutes after take off and you should be sober for the last 8 minutes of flight until landed. Those are the main times when the plane is likely to crash. If the plane crashes you have 90 secs to clear out. Forget grabbing the carry on, just grab the wife and kids and go. Avoid being slowed down by fat people (I'm fat. I'm allowed to say that.) 90 secs isn't all that long. Try and sit within five rows of an exit. if I manage to save your life with all this good advice, you can thank Art of Manliness.

Nice rule . Lets see a 14 hour flight 3 min after and 8 min before leaves plenty time to piss off a sky marshal.

As far as what to do in case of emergency I figure it essentially time to accept the fact I will never be a famous photographer after all .
