Holy batcrap Batman, our Blue Cross Blue Shield only lets you have 3 continuing packs of Chantix...retail is $231!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guess I will be weaning myself off them for the next few days and have to tough it out too, heck, I guess I'll be joining the OP's support group instead of being a "big brother"...

My insurance didn't cover it either. My pharmacy was able to find a "coupon" so I paid about half of the retail(which was very close to $231 if not exactly that amount). The wife and I decided that although the price was out of our budget,the Chantix would save money in the long run. In the past I have been give vouchers for patches or Chantix from a local program designed to help people quit smoking. I think it was called Cold Turkey and if you were enrolled in the program and went to the meeting once a week they gave you vouchers that made the patches or meds free. I think there are similar programs all over the U.S. The one I went to was sponsored by the local University. The same program was also offered by a local health care provider.
I don't mean to sound harsh, but if you truly WANT to quit, you will do it right now, instead of picking a date. Make the choice, right now. Do it. Throw away those remaining cigs....what, you already paid for them, so you should smoke them? Really? Commit. Now.

38 years ago. 2 pack a day habit. First and last of the day smoked while sitting at the edge of my bed. One morning I went "COLD TURKEY BABY". Never been back.

I Still smoke pipe/Cigar and green, But hav'nt had a cig in about 3 yrs now. I found suckers helped a lot, when ever I got a craving Id pop a tootsie roll pop into my mouth and would be all good. It also helps if you find reasons not to smoke like you dont have time for a smoke break at work, Can't smoke in the new car, ect. you can do it!!!
