Thread: Anyone here quit smoking successfully?

Thirteen years ago I woke up in the middle of the night barely able to breathe. Lived six blocks from the emergency room and arrived barely able to talk. Diagnosis was severe case of bronchitis aggravated by smoking. Went home, dumped half a carton of expensive English cigarettes in the sink and wet them down. Haven't smoked since. I truly feel cold turkey is the only way to go. And despite the wants and desires of wanting to light up again in the long run I found it a heck of a lot easier than going thru divorce.
