Thanked: 13249New TV shows- How many Episodes do you give it ???
So with the Fall TV premiere season in full swing here in the US this month I have a question???
How many episodes do you watch before making the decision to keep it or drop it from your line up ???
Myself I go 3, then it either stays recording on the DVR or it gets tossed to the junk pile...

3 For Me Also. Though Most Off The Time You Can Tell After The First Show. I Give It A Few To See Where It Goes.

Thanked: 375I'm going to say two for me but sometimes you just know it's not for you. I like Grimm, and Revolution,Viking's as far as seasonal show's go. Otherwise it's H2, or Discovery

I watch way too much TV so I can spot a dud really quick. To amuse my high brow sensibilities I watched the Twilight movies just to check off all of the pieces of the formula they hit.
On a related note, does anyone else get annoyed when characters in bad TV show jack a shell in the chamber when they are making a point? It seemed like the people on the show Lost had a rate of 5 chamberings for every shot fired.Last edited by Leatherstockiings; 09-25-2013 at 07:09 PM. Reason: Grammar

Thanked: 1936One for me. Producers know that they have to catch your attention quickly. I love DVR though, how did we get by without it?

It really depends on what kind of show it is that I am watching.
I do remember almost giving up on the wire when I first started watching that.
It took almost half a season for it to really stick.
Now it is my alltime favorite show.
I hardly ever watch tv in the traditional sense though.
Apart from sports, all my viewing is done via streaming, and with at least one season ready for consumption.
If a show is hyped a lot and gets great reviews, I will give it quite a few episodes, even a season.
Game of thrones is one of those, but even with a full season, I found myself really bored when watching it.Last edited by Birnando; 09-25-2013 at 07:05 PM.

This is a tricky one, I have been known to give it the elbow after 30 minutes, but on the other hand which I find really annoying I lose interest after the second or third episode, I waiting on series 6 of Breaking Bad, and the last series of Eastbound and down and Walking Dead, and also the last series of Bored to Death. But most of my TV viewing especially dramas and series are all downloaded pre recorded through my TV box.

Two, but on rare occasions I can tell it's going nowhere before the first commercial.
