I had a van in the late 70's, think it had a paint job of Thor riding wild horses while chasing Dragons, mag tires, great pipes, and a sticker on the bumper, which still holds true to this day, "Gas, grass, or a$$, no one rides for free."
I don't remember much of that time, other than I think it may have turned into a fireball on some remote campground over a May 24 weekend (only Canadians will get that one)!!

The original Saab 900.
While I've admittedly had some real clunkers along the way, my old Saab (named John Lee as it was old, kind of funny looking but really, really cool) that I paid two bottles of whisky for remains to this day the best *driving* vehicle I have ever owned. Even driving it from London where I picked it up to Scotland where I lived with only 3rd, 4th, and reverse was an absolute pleasure. And unlike most other vehicles on the road, the original 900 would never, ever be mistaken for anything but a Saab. And then GM killed it.
John Lee in all his glory. St Andrews, circa 1998
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.
