sorry jimbo, that was a typo. it's should be "don't call a Samoan 'Sole" unless you know him" I should probably add "or wanna get intimate with the art of eating floor".

Something much more complex. You see, my family, we love everyone. Basically (historically), if you are hot, we'd like to get to know you better ( hello ladies)
Hawaii truely is a melting pot and I should be it's mascot. My ethnic background is : Chinese, Japanese (so I guess that makes me Korean...lmao), Filipino, Portugese, Irish, Spanish, Hawaiian and also either German or English (we found Smith Blood in our tree and are researching it now)

I need to run off to work in a few (my ladies are callingto me...ahh) But I'll try to get out a good answer to this question. There is a group that still recognizes themselves as "native" Hawaiians. To them you are not considered 'native, if you are less than 50%. So I'm at a loss here. I can't go and b*tch about how, the 'houli's took my land' (hey cuda, word in action there) while i'm sitting on the beach on a tuesday at noon sipping on a beer. Nor can I apply for 'seated lands' (think reservation).
I think that there might be a few 'pure' people left, but i sure hope not. nature loves diversity and rewards it with less defects. The orginal Hawaiians actually are south east asians (according to the studies by historians and oral histories) that voyaged over in canoes.
I hate to sound negative about them in general, I do have some firends that are Hawaiian and are awesome. That and I am part Hawaiian, but sometimes they seem, somewhat arrogant about the fact that someone far up the line from them planted taro a long time ago and feel that entitles them to a free and easy life.

Brendon,
It's been a while since I've heard the story, but wasn't it that they allowed only non-native military members to vote on Hawaii becoming a US state? I've heard that there are still people that are pretty upset about all of this, true? When I was there, I think I was all of 10 years old, so these conversations were a little out of my league at the time.
On a lighter note, is it true that Castle Park is closed? I thought that place was the cat's meow!
