Default So I bought a new mobile the other day

I decided on a Samsung Galaxy S4. I'm no fan of Apple products after seeing the iPhone and iPad in action that my wife uses for work. And truth be told, I'm not much of one to take a liking to technology of any kind, but in this day and age, it has become more or less a necessity. However, I do digress, I've spent the last week and a bit learning the in's and out's of this new beast...And making a nice leather case for it to sit in on my belt...I discovered that I can use it as a remote control for the television. "Of what use is that?!" I thought to myself, "it isn't like I'm about to throw away the remote that came with the T.V.!"
So, I'm sitting in the computer room last night doing some more research on the in's and out's, and generally admiring my handiwork of the new leather case, when I became aware of the sound of my wife's taped episodes of 'Home and Away' seemingly being played endlessly. It is amazing how you can be oblivious to something for hours, but when you finally take notice of it, you're aware of just how long you have been hearing/seeing/tasting/smelling it.
I just couldn't resist. I poked my head out into the hallway, and using the mobile 'phone as a remote, turned the T.V down. My wife mumbled something and turned it up. I turned it up more and then turned it down. My wife mumbled something that sounded like "What the..." and got the volume to her desired level again. I turned the T.V off. The wife turned it on. I turned it up. She turned it down. I turned it off again. By this time she's having a quiet little tirade to herself about the so and so T.V.
I came out from the computer room after a few minutes...Trying to stop myself from bursting into laughter...As I walked past her, she said, "Have you had any drama's with the T.V lately?" I said, "Nup!" and snorted out a little barely suppressed squeak of a laugh. She said, "You b@st@rd! It was you! I don't know how you did it, but you did something didn't you?" I said, "Nup! Not me!" and ran laughing, into the kitchen.

I still haven't told her how I did it, but I'm thinking I might try it from downstairs in my workshop, which is directly under the lounge room next time. Sometimes technology can be fun...Oh yes and here are some pictures of my new case I made...

Well it is, but why do you say so? Because my wife didn't get up and beat me to death in the kitchen, when any other mans wife would have?!

    I like the case Mick!
And the story, funny stuff there.
I played with the remote app on mine, I figure it will be handy when the kids misplace the regular remote?
So far I am really liking the S4, I had not anticipated getting it as I was happy with my S2 but it took a bounce on the concrete,
it might be better said that it really didn't take the bounce......

I think that remote thingo could be quite useful, our pet rats seem to like eating the buttons off of our remotes.
I am guessing you live in a queenslander Mick, or is your block heavily sloped to fit the workshop underneath?
Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast

I wouldn't suggest a metal snap closing above the phone screen. Velcro might be a better option. Most cases I've purchased use a magnetic closure. If it starts to cause a problem you could always turn the phone around in the case.

Pretty handy work on the case by the way. You better have a comfortable workshop cause when she finds out what's going on you may be there for quite awhile, lol.

Magnets around cell phones are not really good as well, especially smartphones.
