Cancer
My brother-in-law (Jan) has liver cancer. It’s stage 5 and the prognosis is not good at all. The doctors have told us it is just a matter of time and to prepare for the inevitable. Over the last two weeks my family which is very small has been living at the hospital helping my sister as much as we can. Jan was 6’2 and a healthy 225LBS. He is now around 175lbs and looks terrible. My family has never lost anyone to cancer and I’m still shocked at what it (cancer) can do to a person. It is sucking the life out of him. I believe in God and I am also a Christian. What ever your beliefs are I’m asking for a prayer for Jan and my sister Judy. I would greatly appreciate it and I know they would to. This experience has truly humbled me to a point I didn’t think I could be. I now cherish every moment with my wife and kids. I’m not going to waste anymore time with the little trivial things in this world anymore. Thanks.

My condolences, man. I´ve lost 3 relatives to cancer, so I feel your pain. I´ll be praying for you and your family.

My prayers are with you. I lost a very close aunt to liver cancer when I was younger. It was really the first major death that I ever dealt with. I hope you family can find peace in this time of hardship.

Cancer is no respecter of persons. And all too often, it is discovered too late. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, and may be this also be a lesson to all of us to stay on top of getting checkups and proper tests done regularly.
