Aside from the Arctic Vortex winds, frost quakes and the current temp being -30 C, we're now getting treated to snow donuts, or snow rollers! I'm making sure I'm extra nice for the next little while because I think Santa's moving into the neighborhood....snow donuts! Santa must be coming to town!!

Snow donuts? You've got to be kidding me! Do they come with snow cops?

Hahaha, yes, the cops are dressed as Elves and they give out candy canes instead of tickets! They're actually called snow rollers, and like the frost quakes, another very rare weather phenomena...

After getting back from Scotland this year, perhaps a few degrees but still cold as, I went to work after tw days at home. it was either 43 or 47 degrees centigrade in the shade (depending on who you spoke to) and around 98% humidity, between that and jetlag I nearly cried

I love my west coast home. Never too hot rarely too cold. I am however about to go freeze my *&$!!@$**% off in Edmonton for a week.

A little penance every now and then for living in paradise is good for the soul.

I'm afraid Laurens' temp of zero is a little chilly for me, and Ed's trumped me with the 47. I think the cold would be more annoying than the heat; there seems to be more ramifications of that. As long as we don't get bushfires I'll be OK.

Then again, the cold would have it's benefits; skiing, snow balls and all that. With the heat all you can do is sweat, drink beer (I guess that's a positive) and watch the garden die...
