Thanked: 1587What I don't understand is why Eagles would dare to infiltrate a Nazi castle in the Alps with a small force and escape via cable car when they could just fly? This movie makes no sense.

There was a tree in my neighborhood we called the Washington Monument tree. If you dared to climb up it far enough you could see the Washington Monument. So I guess you could see a 1/2 hour of driving.
Also there were mounds of dirt, roughly the size of a human, that we referred to as 'Indian graves.' No one ever dug one up to check, the mystery and wonder were too deep, so to speak.
My first 'girlfriend' showed me something secreted away in her house. Her father was in the armed forces serving in London at some time in WWII. She unwrapped the two enormous books that had elaborate and unusual lettering and small colored pictures (how I saw it at 16). Later I realized that he had most likely pilfered those illuminate manuscripts.
Anyway, Dad was a magician, he would walk down the street and turn into a bar.
