    That is scary.
A smiling man in a clown suit holding a mattock.

I may have to rethink my views of clowns.

Yo Dave, it is actually an adze. That was a great garden tool! A friend of mine who was a pile driver for awhile called it a shingitter.

I stood behind him in a line at LAX. It was like having a moving wall in front of you. He is a very large man.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

One or the other of that photo looks like a "Ho" to me.

Well, now not sure...the adze I used had a curved handle but this thing has a round handle...but it was very sharp when I got it and too wide and thin to be a ho. I've used a ho, a mattocks, an axe mattocks, etc. The reason why this was good in my garden was that the soil was virtually rock free...the legendary Vina Loam. Apologies to rolodave for the correction if I am wrong.

It is actually hoe. Ho to me is like is like ho, ho, ho as in cheering. My apologies, not trying to ruffle any feathers.

Ok here is a carpenters, foresters, adze...it also looks like a railroad adze...still not sure as I can't look at it...and it was 14 years ago.
The thing in the pic had a lot of weight unlike most hoes.
