I posted this picture in another thread and mentioned the painting. I got it from my daughter that went to school in Duluth. She found it in the basement of a college kid house. From what I am told this guy would leave paintings in the parks. I am sure it was left behind from student to student because of its size. When she moved out west there was no room for it. I don't know why it appeals to me but...
In the whites of their eyes are the words, LIFE?.
Here is a video about the artist.
P.S. It is on canvas so I wonder if it is one of his earlier works.

Thanked: 481Talk about feeling like you're always being watched. I'd never get anything done with that painting hanging around lol.

As the gentleman in the video said, Art can be many things, cooking, sewing, even cleaning up old razors.
I've posted this video before but it never ceases to amaze me with the talent and how it ends.

I saw these wonderful artists online a few years ago and I wanted to share their wonderful performances.
While not from Britain they are amazing. With just some lighting, their own bodies and a few props they tell an amazing story in such detail.
I really like how the leader says before the start of their second performance how it was very emotional for him and he dedicated it to his mother.
I hope All will enjoy:

Thanked: 481Funny exchange at work...
Preface - only funny cause no one got hurt.
So new guy A gets a bunch of new tools. All the other newbies have to come gawk at the shinies. New guy B picks up a tool and says, "Why doe this screwdriver have a fuse in it." I identify it as a test light for testing circuits.
So new guy B starts poking at the side of new guy A's tool box and asking, "Is it going to shock me...?" 'No dummy, the tester and tool box don't have current' is what I think. What I say is, "No it's not going to shock you." But he's poking at something awful intently so I go over to see what's going on.
New guy A's box has a 120 volt power strip built into the side of his box that I didn't know about. New guy B is poking into the outlet with a pass thru circuit tester.
"Holy****! Yes that's going to shock you, what the **** is wrong with you!?" are the next words to leave my mouth.
The scariest thing about this to me...new guy B has taken and passed Honda's high voltage training for their hybrid vehicles. Those are 140-244 volt circuits. He should know better!Last edited by Marshal; 03-01-2017 at 03:27 PM.

Thanked: 3795I had a woman dumped on me at work years ago who knew, at best, 50 words of English. I only could teach her by monkey see, monkey do. After a few weeks, I was brought into a dept head's office and was asked to explain what I did to make "Joy" cry.
I asked...
"Which time?"
That was not the expected answer.
(She was regularly doing stupid, dangerous stuff like your guy but did not stop when I'd yell "STOP" so I would have to physically intercede for her own safety. Sometimes she cried. Clearly it was my fault.)
