Enjoy! SRP is a great place, there's room for us all, and all our opinions and foibles that go with it!!

This community reminds me so much of the kiting community I'm part of.

With kites it doesn't matter what your flying. It doesn't matter how old you are, And it doesn't matter how big your kite is.

What matters is spending that extra few minutes when your in a field chatting to each other. Letting other people experience your hobby, and not been prejudiced about it all. We would regularly have meets and you could guarantee a few things. You wouldn't be flying or riding on your own gear, And everyone would look out for each other. And at the end of the day nothing would be missing even tho all you did was take it out of the car and plonk it on the beach with a coloured tent peg to mark your kit.

This forum is similar, We all have our kit, Our habits, dreams, and misconceptions. No ones going to judge you for that, But you might get corrected a few times, And pick up a few new tricks on the way.

I too have had kind gestures of friendship sent to me and it has always made me feel like I got a sorta band of brothers here. I recommend SRP to all I can because of the camaraderie. Good on ya cutter !

,,,alright,,,,alright,,,,let's not overdo it on the, "Tom's a nice guy." theme.

I can't count the times(would need a calculator) that Nice Guy Tom has sabotaged my sincere posts, to many threads, by making funny remarks that lead me to even silly-er responses; then I get slapped by a MOD. when it was Nice Guy Tom's fault from the beginning.

Nice Guy Tom is like the older brother who encourages his younger sibling to break the house rules & when both are caught, quickly dishes up little brother,,,,,

,,,,,,,,,,BTW ,,,Tom did give me a nice Beardsley & Lords Empire razor about 6 months ago,,,so I forgive him,,

Hmm, I'm sure you guys have noticed the bright pink screenname listed under moderators for this section.
Love to hear it as it is - I can tell it as it is better than anybody!

So, this is the way it is
He who has ears to hear, let him hear
Will man rob G***? Yet you are robbing me. But you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’ In your tithes and contributions.
Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for G*** loves a cheerful giver.
Now, let's see who has ears to hear and eyes to see

I have to add that I too have felt the kindness of other members. Most recently, I bought two blades from a fellow member. We corresponded a bit over text message, showing each other our blade collections. This other member then asked if I had a kamisori. When I said I didn't, he sent me (free if charge) a custom kamisori that he had made on a trip to Japan. He had two, so decided to share with me.

This member and I now regularly correspond, even though we live across the country from each other. This is truly a great community.

Yeah, thanks Tom.....thanks a lot. We had him on the ropes and then you come in with standing 8 count and let him get his knees back under him. All that work I've done in "the Conversation" to get him to this point and BAM, he's off the hook. I guess I'll have start all over again.
