    Default Hate!!

So... some of you "know" me here. I have been posting here for a while... and lets call a spade a spade, I talk a lot and say what I feel even at the risk of bothering others. So I figure it's inevitable that I am going to rub some the wrong way, and that others will rub me the wrong way.

But... BUT - if you are one of those who dislike me, and wish I would just go away, blame Tom aka sharptonn for aiding in my continued love for this site and its members, and wanting to continue to support this site ! And just so you know - I cleared using his name with him before posting.

Ok now that I have your attention lol, I just want to give a huge shout out to Tom and a big thank you to him. Out of nowhere I got a PM that basically stated - "Hey, you like 4/8's don't you? Well I have a couple sitting around. Want em?"

    Well yeah!!

Yesterday, I met my mail woman and this is what I found:

Dude - I AM a 4/8 whore and I am stoked! New toys!

Tom - thank you for taking note of those ramblings that are my posts, and thank you for your generous gift. I am genuinely stoked to receive and use these razors.

I think it's fair to sometimes wonder if contributing on a forum makes sense... moreover, I think its fair to sometimes question the "reality" behind some of the people you talk to day in and day out. But it's times like these, not because you got something, but because you got something about as real as it gets that you are reminded that you are participating with other men - good men.

I hope to be on these forums for some time (sorry) - I hope I can pay this forward .

Sorry, hell! I'm all for nicey, nicey, but a little directness is always an air clearer. I like a healthy discussion and others opinions and this forum does just that and for the most part it is done in the most of gentlemanly ways. If someone takes heavy offence to what you have to say and can't handle a civilized exchange of opinions then they need to find one of the antagonistically filled forums that seem to enjoy biting ass all the time. Silence may be golden, but it sure is boring.

Is this a thread about how awesome Tom is?? I can add to it.

A while back he sent me up a scale for a razor. A scale that Had a logo stamped into it that would complete a razor, back into its original scales. It was very nice of him to do that for me. So I sent him some local mennonite maple syrup as a thank you!

Man I must have done a bad job of it it seems - The only reason I posted "Hate" and all that, was to get people to read the post .

This is all about Tom - and SRP... but mostly Tom !

*EDIT* and that is way cool too!!

Glad you like David. We are all different, but share our common love of razors. I do try to share with those who contribute here. A hobby for me, so as someone needs or likes something I probably won't use, I like to give it a good home. It makes a hobby more rewarding to share it with others. Lots better than throwing some stuff up on eBay! I feel all should pay it forward in some way. Life is to short not to!

BTW, HarryWally, that syrup is AMAZING!

Well done. I too have been the recipient of unsolicited gestures from fellow members. Offers for free honing, a sample of vegimite from an Aussie friend it's posts like these that show you what great guys inhabit this community.

    Enjoy those 4/8's!
