Hey - I realize now I was had on this too...it was from a website that says, "an accredited online satirical publication." So when I said I knew it was fiction, or satire, I thought it was a true story posted for it's satirical content, but that it actually did happen. Now I realize that it was not only a satirical piece, but complete fiction as well - so count me in as duped as well, and I usually don't fall for these things.

Everyone's opinion matters, and sharing it in a respectful and constructive manner is always a good rule, if it starts to go personal or negative, that's always a time to stop, because I find discussions then becomes conflict for the sake of conflict, or it descends, in the immortal words of PeeWee Herman, into a, "I know you are, but what am I."

I apologize, this story was meant for a laugh, and ended up turning into something else.

In conclusion, I will quote the immortal words of SRP member Ryan82, and say, "keep on stropping in the free world!"

Gawd, I wondered why everyone was banging on about a fictional happening now I understand.

That would have been handy information about 2 divorces ago.

You should come to Queensland if you want to see how bikers can get nailed to a cross. We've got new anti-biker laws, and our Premier (I guess the equivalent to a US state's Governor) has gone on the record as saying any lawyer who defends bikies in a court of law are basically scum. Long live the legal process (and civil liberties)!

Satire or not, all bikers aren't bad. We here in the US have quite a few biker groups who stand up for kids and fallen soldiers and the such...I happen to belong to one of them. We deliberately put ourselves in the middle of families and groups who actually protest fallen soldiers. Most are veterans or at the least red blooded Americans. We come in force so that all we have to do is let our numbers speak for themselves. We escort bodies from funeral homes to the burial sites & keep the rif-raf out and if they are actively protesting we leave our bikes idling....the good folks don't hear a thing but a pleasant rumble.

Man, I just can't get over the fact that people will protest at fallen soldiers funerals. Support for our little adventure in Afghanistan was never very high here but I don't recall ever hearing of a group protesting at a fallen soldiers funeral here. I can't print what I actually think of people that do that sort of thing.

Some people in this world are only concerned with them selves they do that to gain the news media attention and the news media gives it to them. I know we need a good news program but they need to have some come since and compassion for those who have fought and died for there beliefs and there families feelings. I do believe the way the news stations believe is anything for ratings. there are just some things the world doesn't need to know.
