I had an old tube of prescription turbocharged hydrocortisone cream. Globbed some on the end of a chopstick, jammed it down the cast and flailed it around for a while then repeated. It worked. Phew.

Might be outta this thing on Tuesday, which would be nice. I gather the next "step" after mulching an ankle is some kind of velcro-on pressurized ski-boot stabilisation thingie for another month. You can take it off at night or to shower, maybe? Dunno. Never had broken leg experience.

At least I've again been able to stand and shave for the past 10 days. That's a relief.
