Was that a belly-button, or an inverted nipple?

    I'm with RT.
    Some people can't help it.
I'm on the other side of the scale, I couldn't put on the pounds if I was paid to. So I could image some people not being able to take the pounds off.

Having said that, there must be some reason for the seemingly exponential increase in obesity and therefore there must be blame somewhere. These situations don't arise on their own.

Some people, perhaps many people, can't help their weight, but everyone is responsible at some level for their appearance. A heavy person can be well dressed and well groomed. That woman needs to avoid that mode of dress.

It is strange that people seem all too happy to avoid responsibility for their weight. I put on overone third my body weight when i went to university, and it took me 3 years to get back to normal again.
The UK is heading just the same as the US i feel, along with many european countries. I am moving to Poland however, where there seems to be a huge social pressure on girls especially to be thin and this comes into applying for certain types of jobs where you are in the public eye like a barmaid. You won't see many overweight bar staff or receptionists.
I'm not sure what is better, feeling guilted into being thin by society just to get a job(crap pay) or to be living in a country where you are criticised for the lifestyle choices you make(or are 'advertised' into making, Junk food anybody?)
How long before these other societies that see obesity as socially unacceptable become victims of the advertising world, and where will the US and UK be then? Will we have found the solution?
