I don't know what the SoCal meet is but I should be in LA on the 1st of August. I have to I process and find a place to hang my hat, and the I have 47 days of use or lose leave I have to take before October 1st, so I SHOULD be there then. I would really like to get a professional class on stropping if they have one available. I was pretty famous on the base in Jordan for my shaving. People would see me using the straight razor and be like "Holy shit! That's old school." I actually converted 2 people and got another to take baby steps with one of the looks like a Mach 3 but it's just a handle with a razor blade things. I also taught 4 guys and one chick to drive a manual, so I did my job of enhancing the manliness level of the world as well as catching bad guys.
The SoCal meet is a local meet for SRP members. The one in January was a blast. It's scheduled for August 17th...

Glad you made it back to CONUS in one piece. Thank you for your service...but heck, LA might be just as or more dangerous. At least you can visit the beach for a bit of better scenery...

The funny thing is I am stationed in El Paso, Texas. So when I redeployed, I left a dry and arid desert filled with brown people who don't speak English, and returned to a dry and arid desert filled with brown people who don't speak English.

Welcome Home! And thank you for serving and serving some more. You probably have enough combat patches so I hope you get to stay on the peaceful duty stations from now on. : ) God's speed to you and yours.
