Victoria day in Quebec was Previously Dollard day, for Dollard Des Ormeaux. It has been changed recently to Patriots Day. It is celebrated the same day as Victoria day. St Jean batiste day is celabrated a week before Canada day. St-Jean Batiste day is the equivalent of Canada day for Quebequers, meaning that it is considered our national holliday even tough we have yet to become an independent country. Here in Quebec we use Canada Day has moving day. Meaning that most leases end on July 1st and everybody moves at the same time. Crazy eh!?

I'll end this post here before this turns into a crazy french canadian separatist post.
