My name is Blake, And I should hate my job.

I work in Mcdonalds. It was a part time job when I went back to university as a mature student. Now 8 years on I've not flipped a burger or served a customer in 4 years. I have a role specific job working with a franchisee who has 4 stores. I spend a day in each as a maintenance man. Sorting out calibrations, maintenance, deliveries, and detail cleaning. They leave me alone to just get on with it. I have overalls not a crew uniform, Get paid to travel and get all the other benefits like medical care, and instant holidays.

I could earn more money, before I went back to Uni I was running a printing press, And made a good wage doing that. I learned fast, Tight deadlines, Unreasonable office staff that don't understand the machines, And a gobsh*te northerner don't mix well.

I'm happy to be at the bottom of the economical food chain, If that means I get an easy life, And a 3 day weekend every week.
