Yes, cell phone are just tools and used appropriately can make life easier. You have to ask at some point if just because you have the technology must you use it constantly as a life style. It does have it's place but do you really need to use it hand held while driving a car, listening to muzak while jogging out into the path of an oncoming car you were to zoned out to see coming, riding a bicycle with no hands all the while texting oblivious to where you are going or driving a commuter train and missing a signal while on your smart phone. It is not the tool or the technology that is faulty but the addicted addled brained user.

Which is more of a tool, the cell phone or the addled brain user?

Ha ! You have to be old to know what points are. I put Boyer ignition on my 73 Bonnie back in the day. The points used to vibrate & wear after one good run.

I agree that's it's the people using the things in the wrong situation. Hands free only when driving , but then I still don't much because I like to pay attention when i,m driving, use the tool when it's appropriate. Tc

And...when I shouldn't hit the enter key when I am ranting it is nice to have said roadblock! My mouth never did!

Ranting or not, I type my text, preview the post, and proof read it. I make sure I'm saying what I want to convey, that everything is spelled correctly, then I separate the text in a more easy to read format.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
