For those that have about 40 minutes to spare to learn a little bit about a man who I consider one of the best of the best.

He couldn't read or write music, but boy did he ever make some fantastic music.

I hope all will take the time.

You mean all those little balls, and sqwiggles with flags ? I thought those were for people who like to over complicate things. If you spend all your time learning that you might as well be in a marching band or orchestra :<0) Takes away from real practice time and says nothing about feel.

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

I just LOVE how when you watch him play he is using his guitar to actually "sing" you see him moving his lips and the guitar is doing the talking!

The man was AMAZING no doubt about it!

    You play any SRV ProudMarineDad?

I knew it had to be Hendrix, because others may have copied his style, but no one could play like he did. When the song finally ended the announcer said the tune was done by Stevie Ray Vaughan. Blew my mind that anyone would even attempt Voodoo Child after Hendrix, but Stevie Ray was his equal.
When the great Eric Clapton first heard Stevie on the radio he had to pull his car off the road and listen. He then vowed to find out who this guitarist was. That says volumes about his talent when Clapton pulls off the road to listen.

I couldn't disagree more, but every 50-100 years someone comes along who can break all the rules and achieve greatness because of who they are.... for the rest of us mortals....
