How do you feel?
In another thread I was saying how folks assault you with how are you and how do you feel all the time when they really couldn't give a rats a** how you are doing.
Of course here at SRP we being all part of an extended family we really do care about you.
So the question is, how do you feel as you read this right now. We want the truth, the real dope. Lay it all out to us, don't hold back. Take the question as you wish. Health, emotional, social however you want.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Since I don't plan too far in advance, the way I feel at this moment is absolute content. I expect that to last about an hour. Content at this point because I just ate a slice off of a freshly baked loaf of rye bread, slathered with butter. An hour from now I have to decide what I want for dinner and how to prepare it.
I'm sure that I will post more in this thread as the day and mood and events change. Who said retirement is a drag?"The sharpening stones from time to time provide officers with gasoline."

I ate too many brownies today, so I don't feel fantastic. I have finally hit that age where I can't just eat whatever I want anymore.
How do you feel, Mr. Bigspendur?

Itchy. I am itchy.
Our office moved in September into a building to which it turns out I'm allergic. Long story short, for me allergies = eczema which = really fecking itchy. And since that keeps waking me up in the middle of the night, I should also add tired and a little bit cranky to the list.
*However* I am warm and comfortable in my house on a pretty cold evening when many do not share that luxury, and today I have shaken off a bug that laid me low for the last few days. So I am also feeling thankful.
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

as i started reading i thought to myself " a lot of time i do care when i ask " but then continued to read so i will answer ..lol
i had carpal tunnel surgery and this stupid cast/splint is driving me nuts !! then was excited to get a call from the doc to tell me to come in 2morrow and get this thing off my arm and stitches out !! so now i can start honing , shaving , and playing with razors again !! then to top that off a old razor i sent out to Glen to hone came in so i got even more excited , then realized a new thuri is coming in 2morrow also !!! so amongst all the excitement i turn the TV on and see some of the protest in Europe and wonder when this nation is gonna finally come together on this militant Muslim issue !! but then after all that i came back to my usual response when someone ask " how are you feeling ?" and that is !! im still breathing and it can always be worse so i have no complaints !!
lol.. you asked for it so i just let what was on my mind roll free ...

My father always used to say "getting old is no fun" and he made it to 99. Of course the alternative to that is worse so....
I'm about Pixie's age so I can attest to the aches and pains. I got a big check in the mail today so I'm feeling great. Friday I go and get a bunch of shots in my neck so I won't be so great then. I wish I had more of you all around me here, in my community. Like Jonestown.
Didn't really mean Jonestown. But I did mean the former.
TBS, thank you for this thread. I've actually been missing my departed mother quite a bit. 61 is too young... but it's not in my hands and I know where she is.Last edited by Siguy; 01-15-2015 at 02:32 AM.
