I live 6 ft. above sea level on a sandbar that is 3/4 of a mile from the tidal Sound to the Atlantic. I'm not worried. Of course I'm 66 and have told my kids not to expect to inherit the house. I have watched for many years, and I honestly believe that is is the natural cycle of weather that we are seeing. If I'm wrong, I'll also be right....the kids won't inherit a house near the beach!

I am warmed (no pun intended) by the number of people here who accept that climate change is man made at least to a greater or lesser degree.
I was really expecting to read a load of posts with people chuckling about leaving their cars running all day by accident after turning it on to warm up and other such stuff that I have read elsewhere.Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast

Thanked: 3227They have been hacking away at the rain forest in the Amazon basin since at least the mid 1970s so it has been going on a long time. Jari project - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia It is a very fragile eco system that has not taken well to industrial use. Like you say we now are realizing the "benefits" of that folly.

There was a pretty much ignored study of tree ring going back beaucoup years. It shows a significant change in the ambient temperature of the atmosphere over a fairly long, apparently solar, cyclic period of about 1400 years.

And this is a sub cycle of it with earth change factors going in..
Anything plus man's help is bound to be worth considering.

The hell of it is that 'we' (mankind) are still cutting it down. Where I live used to be the Everglades. You have to go west 15-20 miles to get to what is still the Everglades now. They are taking farmland and making housing developments out of it now.
If everyone pees in the pool pretty soon it is going to be like an unflushed toilet. To think that all of the greenhouse gases industry, autos, &c. belch out isn't going to have a negative effect is denial. It is like two and two not making four.
Not saying that adds up to global warming being 'all humankind's fault', but I doubt we are doing the situation much good.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

No. It's nonsense they make up to fit their fact-less begotten theories. In the meantime, I'll just call it Fall Winter Spring and Summer.

Thanked: 13246Follow the money
If the warming is NOT man-made then there is no money to be made, and no policies to be made..
Facts:
The earth is warming
There are too many people on the planet
People create pollution
Pollution is bad whether it is green house gasses or not
The earth has warmed and cooled before there were too many people, and we don't really know why
Not fact:
Global warming is from man's activities
If we cut back on green house gases warming will stop
Solution:
Less People
Simple really, everything else is just about money
