Thanked: 1185I think Glen has it right. We have also made too many safety laws protecting stupid people and protecting from stupid people. We have been doing this for years. They have been running around breeding all this time. They are everywhere. They have even reached the highest forms of government. So they have added to mankind's problems. All of them. And then there is what happens naturally :<0)
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Our only hope as a species is to go into space and find another planet or 5. When our planet is used up we can then go to another.

The sky is always falling, that's what gravity does. It's a good thing we have the earth to keep it from falling below it. After all we all know what happened before the earth was created - Mr. L fell all the way to the bottom. Not a pretty sight and the big guy decided to never let that happen again, so he put the earth in place.
Those ancient threes and dinosaurs that are now being pumped out of the ground as oil, they got all that energy in the first place from the sun over many, many years. Nowadays we release it back from its long term storage and it will eventually heat the planet a bit more and then be sent into space as everything else - electromagnetic radiation.
That's not the main effect though, the scientists say that the bigger effect is from the extra carbon dioxide which creates a bit of a green house effect.
There is always somebody who is making money and somebody who is spending money regardless of whether it's in the burning the stashed energy, or in the attempts to offset some of the negative effects this burning has.
It's probably not too different from restocking your fridge - unless you also start paying to convert the waste into something good you'll end up living in filth which may shorten your life drastically.

Your logic is beyond approach...
The point is, denying that man has contributed, to some degree, to the climatic changes we see around us today in spite of the overwhelming amount of scientific evidence really is like taking the ostrich approach to problems.
Anyone who can read will see what is going on with a little bit of effort.
Sure, there are those who claim there is nothing man can do, or have done to affect the climate.
But for each of those you'll find 9 who will argue the opposite.
Researchers and scientists around the entire world, from all sides politically seem in agreement that it is a well established fact.Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....
