Our planet has been around billions of years before man appeared and did very well without us and will do well no matter what man does. The surface of the earth we live on is like the dirt on your driveway and it could all be swept away in an instant. The earth's poles could reverse and destroy us all, or maybe a comet or meteor hits or some energy wave from deep in space. The Universe is a very violent place. As far as our actions go it won't affect the planet, it doesn't care about us. it ain't tierra firma. We live on moving eggshells.

Funny I was talking to my friend Mr L. about this today and I asked him why he spends so much time on this planet. After All, there must be other worlds with people on them. He says of course there are. He said he loves it here cause we're so much like him. He really feels at home here. He says it's ironic we're all so evil in every way and we expect the big guy to come and save our butts. He says this scenario has been played out before innumerable times and he's seen it all but he can keep a secret and won't spill the beans.

But, he says if you're afraid of the future he'll make you a deal. He'll make you an officer and guarantee you airconditioning and ice water. Just click yer heels together 3 times while saying 666 and he'll be right over.

Something all the members here at SRP can really rally behind and agree on. Let's face it, if the environment goes down the tubes, there won't be any more badgers, and the darn boars can't be far behind, and for us here, that's just not cricket.

I figure if we all rally to save the badgers and the boars, we'll save all the rest along with it!

I liked it well enough for a couple of minutes ...... kind of hypnotic if I was on a mind or mood altering substance ......... but those days are gone and I moved on at 2 min or so.
