Nicely done. The "Shush, woman" part might have been a little excessive, but you gotta hold yer own!

My wife is always telling me how a true liberated woman like she is is the equal of any man and can do anything any man can do except of course when it comes to doing something she doesn't want to do and then she comes looking for me to do it. So when she starts nagging about something needing fixing I just remind her about how liberated she is so why don't you fix it yourself? That stops the nagging instantly.

This is exactly how both my wife and I treat each other when we get too big for our britches. Makes for a dynamic, but equal relationship. Keep this up (omitting the chauvinist overtones of course) and you too may achieve marital bliss.

This was read at my wedding, along with the preceding two verses. It's something that I need to remind myself of constantly. When I do keep it in mind all runs smoothly. It's been a great 24 years overall.

25Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her,

26So that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the Word,

27That He might present the church to Himself in glorious splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such things [that she might be holy and faultless].
