Why is it hard to get coal in Canada?

Thanked: 3228I don't think it is too hard to get coal in Canada but I think what he wanted was Anthracite coal which is not currently mined in Canada but there are deposits of it in northern BC and the Yukon, Coal - Air - Environment Canada .
