I had wondered where you got off to, Stik! Just say NO! It is working quite well for me most of the time.
As I get the wants for another blade, I take a little tour of what I have. I drag out some projects and go at those instead of buying more. If it is something which I already have, or close, I wonder what I was thinking. Too many cool razors out there for a working stiff to buy them all.
Be happy with what you have, Man!

I tried to stay away because hanging around here I was spending to much money on all the accouterments that go with straight razor shaving. I still shave with one but I haven't bought another since I have been away from the mad house but one day back and I am once again checking the Bay for straight razors and such. Why am I so weak and susceptible to the siren call of a Wostenholm or Dahlgren razor? To be honest, I have missed the madness.
I feel for you, I really do; however with that said, I was wondering if you'd seen this post

You certainly have a wicked streak!
Although it is flattering that you think of my work when you want to push a recovering raddict over the edge

So shock therapy might help with our AD's?

Would this therapy cost more than a new razor?
Smarter than I look or, not as dumb as I look. Whichever you prefer.

I learned in therapy that those trapped by the addiction want to pull others back into it to validate themselves.

Not if it is self applied.
