I don't have kids either, but when my eldest niece has called me "Uncle" ever since she started talking. She's 13 now, but when she was 2 she couldn't quite say "Uncle". We went to visit a Church where our old Pastor was preaching. After Church was over she ran up to me while I was speakinng with some people and tried to get my attention. Finally she spoke up in a loud voice that everyone could hear "MUNCLE!" You shouldve heard the snickers, I even got a little teasing about it, but I'm getting my revenge now lol.

Thanked: 0My favorite niece (yes, I do play favorites) always called me "Uncle Hawwy". It's become a term of endearment now. I don't have any other stories. Maybe one day, eventually.

I have a 4 year old son and I know that he has said some funny things but I can't remember them right now. However, I do have a funny tale about my cousin's, precocious 6 year old.
They were in a restaurant when two police officers walk in waiting to be seated. My cousin's son walks up to one of the officers and politely asks if he is carrying a real gun. When the officer answers that is indeed real, my cousin's son responds with, "I bet you kick a lot of as with that gun!" To which everyone in the place busts up laughing including the officers.

Freebird, that reminded me of something I blocked out! When Max started talking he never used "Daddy" for me. I guess he heard my wife Katie calling me by my name all the time and so instead of calling me Daddy used to call me "Mummy Mark". You would not believe the stick I used to get from my mates over that!
I didn't discourage him, but every time he said it there were sniggers all round. Thank god he got out of THAT phase and calls me Dad/Daddy now!
