Well, I got it out of my system ( I think) 4 razors all under 31 bucks, most expensive was just today, a Frieder Herder ABR. Sohn, 5/8ths No. 173 for $31.00.

Well, I "THINK" I got it out of my system, I just have to have some rules, No.1, buy only spike points, No.2, buy only 11/16ths or better, No. 3 put in your max bid and walk away from it, if you don't win, so be it. And here is a pet peeve I discovered, those "restored" razors that someone has bought, Put a super duper shine on, maybe" honed it up a bit and then ask 3x what its worth. Oh, by the way I love the "Restored" Wade&Butcher that someone has shined up and blown ALL the markings and stampings off of it How can you tell what it is when all the stamping and marks are gone?.

That right there is excellent wisdom.......Unless I have a desire for a vintage razor I will stick with the vendors I know for good shaving product i.e other than ebay or amazon ....even if it means shelling out a couple dollars more because I know that is their business and they stand behind their goods and are well known throughout this shaving community . That goes for aftershave,blades,razors, etc.. That being said if I want a vintage razor,I would go through here first also for the same reasons. I'm not saying you can't find a deal on ebay with experience but, most vintage stuff here is pretty much backed up by the fact that if you sell bunk here ,everybody will know it so it's pretty much clean noses here and no shenanigans .

I started using this tactic about a week ago. I left my cell phone in the car for a few hours Sunday and when i got back to it i had the nice surprise of winning my first Henckels.

Why am I broke now? E-Bay! and there is this W.H. Morley Clover "Spike" that got "relisted" the other day that looks nice, Its either a 11/16ths or 6/8. I need to get the next door neighbor girls to take some Pics. and post them. Plus I have a Gun Show next weekend, I went to one last weekend and bought 4 Straights there One was a J.R. Torry ($24.00), and another one was Wade&Butcher 9/16th's with a Barbers Notch($30.00), The guy with the W&B had a table full of straights.
